Wired Connection
– When using the controller for the first time or when using the controller on another PS3 console, please register/pair the device.
– Connect the controller to the PS3 console via the USB data cable, and then press and hold the “Home” button to complete the device registration.
– After the controller is successfully registered on the PS3 console, you can unplug the USB data cable for wireless connection.
– The controller will automatically go into sleep mode if no controller buttons are pressed for 5 minutes.
– To activate it again, press the “Home” button and the controller will automatically reconnect to the PS3 console.

Connecting with PC Windows using Bluetooth:

– First press and hold “START”, then press and hold “Home” button, at this time, the top LED No.1 and No.3 are flashing rapidly.
– at this time, you can click “Settings” > “Add Device” of Windows, the controller will be displayed in the Bluetooth add list.
– After successful connection, LED No.1 and LED No.3 will always light up.

Under normal conditions, pressing the “Home” button wakes up the controller, Also, press and hold the “Home” button for 5 seconds to turn off the controller. lf the LED is still on, probably because it is stil connected to the device, you can force the controller to turn off by inserting a large pin into the small hole under the L2 button on the controller.

It is recommended to use the Mini-USB cable included in the package to charge the controller, lf a charging plug issue, it is not recommended that the voltage of the charging plug exceeds 5v, which may cause damage to the batteries. The LED4 indicator blinks rapidly to indicate when the battery is low.

The controller has a sleep function. If you do not press any button within 5 minutes, it will automatically sleep. When you press the “Home” button, the controller and the connected PS3 console will automatically wake up.
Please note that when the controller is low on power, joystick drift, button delay and other problems are prone to occur. Please make sure to keep the controller fully charged.

PS3 controller connects to iOS or Android

Please note the differences between the new and old versions. The new version uses “START” + “HOME” to activate wireless pairing; the old version uses “R2” + “HOME” to activate wireless pairing. If you find that one of them does not work, please try the other method.

How to get the PS3 controller MAC address?

If you try the default Bluetooth connection method and it doesn’t work, you need to take some extra steps. We can connect by using an additional driver.

Normally, you do not need to obtain the controller MAC address to connect to a Windows device using Bluetooth. If Windows asks for a PIN, the default PIN is 0000

This file will convert your PS3 controller connected via USB to Bluetooth identification, and then follow the steps below:

  1. Please make sure that your Windows system version is higher than Windows 10; Win7/8.1 is not supported.
  2. Download dshidmini_v2.2.282.0.zip and unzip it.
  3. Open the DSHMC.exe program in the compressed package.
  4. Open Windows System Settings and search for Bluetooth connection.
  5. Press and hold the “Start” button of the PS3 and then use the Windows Bluetooth search function to search for the controller.
  6. After connecting, the DsHidMini device in the program will successfully identify the PS3 controller.
